White baseball pants and red clay fields are a brutal combination. After one slide into second base, there goes that sharp looking uniform.
The good news: red clay stains are completely removable without scrubbing, without soaking, without a potion of cleaners sworn to work by the last baseball Mom you happened to sit next to in the stands. And, its not a 24-hour process! It's just a tad more than a regular wash cycle.
The problem is that the clay contains iron oxide, which creates deep orange stains when it binds to fabric fibers. Additionally, the "red" clay is actually dyed to help create that great looking field. So, this creates two issues that your regular old home laundry supplies are not cut out to deal with.
Working exclusively with Major League Baseball, the chemical engineers at Clubhouse Clean developed a variety of cleaners and detergents specifically for the uniform stains of the game - and one of the most important formulas is the red clay remover used by the clubhouse managers of professional baseball to restore white uniforms.
Let's end the fear of white uniform pants, or any color for that matter, once and for all and share with you professional baseball's secret for removing red clay stains. And that secret is.... SLIDE OUT 1 and SLIDE OUT 2. A quick and easy two-step application that removes red clay stains almost instantly. And its finally available to the retail consumer!
Here is what you do-
1) Wash uniform in hot water on your washers longest heavy-duty cycle.
2) After wash - while the uniform is still damp straight out of the washer, treat any stubborn red clay stains with SLIDE OUT 1 and 2. Apply SLIDE OUT 1 directly to the red clay stain, then apply SLIDE OUT 2 on top of SLIDE OUT 1. Stains will disappear almost immediately. Rinse the SLIDE OUT treated area with water, wring out the excess water, and toss into the dryer. Do not re-wash.
And that is it! You are done and the uniform is clean. No 24-hour soak with a witch's brew needed. Now, here are a few important handling tips for using SLIDE OUT:
Always place an old towel or rag between the uniform and surface when applying SLIDE OUT. On top of the washer, or over the sink, are usually great places to apply. SLIDE OUT does have an acid base so DO NOT apply on fancy marble/stone/wood counter tops as it will stain.
Use the supplied applicator bottles and seal with original caps when not in use to extend shelf life. SLIDE OUT is specifically designed for polyester and poly-blend uniforms. DO NOT apply to cotton or other soft fabric types. If it is used on cotton it will remove all colors immediately.
SLIDE OUT works wonders removing red clay stains all on its own, but Clubhouse Clean highly recommends their complete kit to save you time, stretch the number of uses from your SLIDE OUT and maximize your uniform’s life.
