How To Use

Launched in 2005, and developed exclusively for MLB, our products have been serving professional baseball and affiliate teams for over 20 years. It’s about time we share our secrets with you!

Here’s our standard process (all products are included in the Player's Kit) for keeping uniforms looking pristine and like-new all season long:

STEP 1: Pre-Wash - Liberally cover all grass, dirt, blood, popsicle, Gatorade, etc. and red clay stains with MEAN GREEN Enzyme Spot Treatment. Little League fields most often have more dirt in the red clay than typical professional fields so MEAN GREEN helps break down the red clay stains too.

 

STEP 2: Wash - One scoop ALL STAR Detergent (Two scoops for heavy duty stains). Wash in hot water on your machine’s longest cycle. ALL STAR is He washer safe.

 

STEP 3: Post-Wash – While the uniform is still damp straight out of the washer, treat any stubborn red clay stains with SLIDE OUT 1 & 2. Apply SLIDE OUT 1 directly to the red clay stain, then apply SLIDE OUT 2 on top of SLIDE OUT 1. Stains will disappear almost immediately.

Rinse the area treated with SLIDE OUT, wring out and toss into the dryer. Do not re-wash.

 

STEP 4: Play Well and Look Good.

SLIDE OUT MUST-DOs:

*Always place an old towel or rag between the uniform and surface when applying SLIDE OUT. Top of the washer, or over the sink, are usually great places to apply. SLIDE OUT does have an acid base. DO NOT apply on fancy marble/stone/wood counter tops as it will stain.

*Use supplied applicator bottles and seal with original caps when not in use to extend shelf life.

*SLIDE OUT is specifically designed for polyester and poly-blend uniforms. DO NOT apply to cotton or other soft fabric types. Use on cotton will remove all colors immediately.

NOTE: SLIDE OUT works wonders removing red clay stains all on its own. We highly recommend the complete process to save you time, stretch the number of uses from your SLIDE OUT and maximize your uniform’s life.

FOR ADDITIONAL STAIN FIGHTING POWER AND/OR SPECIFIC GAME-DAY STAINS TRY:

DEVOUR: Enzyme and peroxide additive to take your detergent to the next level of stain fighting power. Use one to two scoops on uniform loads.

BAM: Pre-wash - treatment for artificial turf stains. Apply BAM to stain, let sit for five to ten minutes then wash as usual. Also works excellent for removing stains caused by red hot, as well as most inorganic stains.

BOLT: Pre-wash - treatment for removing pine tar and other inorganic stains. Apply BOLT to stain, let sit for five to ten minutes then wash as usual. Depending on stain, you may need to agitate uniform with brush or sponge. 

RESTORE: Post-wash soak - When you've got a real red clay nightmare on your hands turn to RESTORE. Following a cycle in the washer, soak uniform for 30 minutes - 1 hour in a mixture of 3 ounces of RESTORE to one-gallon of hot water. Then return uniform to the washer for a rinse and spin cycle only. Do not add detergent. Finish in dryer as usual.

SPRINT: Cleat and shoe cleaner. Apply sprinter liberally to shoe or cleat and use a brush to agitate stain away.
